Privacy Policy

• Account: email address, name, and a password hash if you set one.
• Your résumé and profile: everything you enter or upload, so we can build, score and store it for you.
• Job activity: jobs you save, search, and track, to power recommendations and your tracker.
• Usage events: which features you use (for example “résumé checked”, “signed up”), so we can see what works.

You can check a résumé anonymously. Nothing you check is tied to you: no account, no name on it, no file kept. The text is scored in memory. What we read from it — the structured résumé and its analysis, the score and the findings — is kept for 24 hours so that it is waiting for you if you check it again, continue to the builder or create an account, and is deleted after that if you do not. To enforce a fair daily limit we keep a keyed hash of your IP address for seven days — not the address itself — which cannot be reversed into who you are.

If you paste a job description, a hashed copy of the extracted requirements is cached so the next person pasting the same posting is scored instantly. No résumé is ever cached.

Scores, suggestions and rewrites are generated by sending the relevant text to AI model providers — currently Anthropic and OpenAI — who process it to return a result and do not use it to train their models under our agreements. Anonymous checks are attributed to a shared anonymous identity, never to you.

• has_session: a sign-in indicator on this site; the session itself lives on our API.
• jobstack:anonymous-resume and jobstack:anonymous-id in your browser's local storage, so an anonymous résumé survives a refresh and can be imported if you sign up.
• Product analytics, when enabled, uses its own cookie to count visits and funnel steps. We do not use advertising trackers.

We send sign-in codes and, if you opt in, job alerts and digests. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link that always works, whether or not you are signed in.

You can edit or delete your résumés, export your data, and delete your account from Settings → Privacy. Deleting your account removes your profile, résumés and job activity.
